Drop Box & Book Exchange

I have to tell you about Dropbox....it's so very AWESOME.  You can share files with other teachers & no more taking flash drives home anymore!!!!  I found out about it from a my friend, Cindy.  We have been sharing Pirate stuff all summer, hundreds of miles away!!!  Go to https://www.dropbox.com/ , set up an account, you can also watch the video.  Then set up your folders & start droping your files in the folders.  You can now share with teachers at your school, in your system & even teachers you know states away.  You can not beat that!!!!  I am just excited because no more having to remember to take my flashdrive home every night.   This may be old news to some, so you can just ignore & read on about the Book Exchange:)  But it is the small things that excite me!!!  haha

Book Exchange

I just found out about a fun activity & book exchange at First Grade O.W.L.s   I copied the information below straight from the blog post. Go to the post Christmas in July Picture Book and Activity Exchange for the exact post and blog.

The information is all listed below.  Please take the time to read over it....great way to get resources for your class. 

Here is the information straight from the post. You must email quickly if you want to be involved because the 13th is almost here.

Christmas in July Picture Book & Activity Exchange
1. Email RANDEE at
randeeschatz(at)hotmail(dot)com
with your name, mailing address, and blog URL
by Wednesday, July 13, 2011.
**We realize it's kinda quick, but we want everyone to receive their package by the end of July!**

2. By Friday, July 15, 2011 you will get an email with your exchange partner.
Go shopping for a picture book (possibly one of your favorites to share w/a new "friend").
**$10 Limit**
**Don't forget to create an activity to go along with the book.**

3. Have your package (book & activity) mailed by Monday, July 25, 2011.


4. Make sure to follow us at How About Them Apples, First Grade O.W.L.s, and
Here We Go Loopty Loo so that on Sunday, July 31, 2011 you can link up and
share your "gift" with us!
